This was my first dive into Tessa Bailey and it definitely delivered for the sports romcom sub-genre.
I really enjoyed the FMC Josephine. She was witty, driven and independent. Her banter with the MMC was excellent and had me chuckling. It was classic romcom scripting but wasn't boring or old.
I did not love how fast the two main characters got together. The premise of the caddy/pro golfer situation was unique and fun, but it could have used a little more tension before crossing that professional line. I'm always more of a slow burn girly. I do love a classic grumpy-sunshine though, so that made up for it.
The wrap-up of the story was not believable, but it was the gushy happy ending every romcom reader craves. Anyone who likes books like "Icebreaker" would like "Fangirl Down."
Overall, it's a decent romcom and made for a quick and cheery read.
